My Camcorder wont stay powered up..

First check all your equipment.  Battery OK?  Adapter OK? (See info 
on adapter) If the unit has impact damage or had a power surge, 
bring it to a repair shop.  Powering it up and trying to test 
functions could do more damage.
 
Run the camcorder from the adapter, does the unit stay powered up?  
If no, and your adapter checked out, you need to bring the camcorder
to a repair shop.  There are a number of things that create 
this problem but all are repairable and within a reasonable amount.
  
Camcorder runs off adapter but it wont run off the battery?
